Transcription factors are key players in determining gene expression, however its control over gene expression during the process of stem cell differentiation is not as well understood. Thus Nike and I use mouse small intestinal stem cells in conjunction with techniques such as single molecule imaging, IF staining, and molecular cloning to study various transcription factors and their expression.
